MUSCAT – RAS AL HADD – NIZWA – MUSCAT -03 DAYS

Quriyat, a very large fishing village between the lagoon and the sea. The port of Quriyat is still guarded by a watchtower. Fins is a beautiful location for night campaign during winters and also near from Muscat only 2hrs journey by car. Beautiful cliffs and the rough sea keeps u charge and finally the superb sunrise will make your day so fresh with lot of positive energy. Wadi Shab  is a very popular wadi located in the Al Sharqiyah Region in Oman. It is a very popular outdoor attraction for both locals and expats, and people come here for the nature, to swim in the fresh water pools or just to have a barbecue. The main attraction of the wadi is the water fall in the cave, which you can reach after a roughly 40 mins hike and swimming in 2-3 pools. Ras al Hadd is a village in Ash Sharqiyah district in Oman

Day 1

MUSCAT – QURIYAT – FINS BEACH – WADI SHAAB – SUR- RAS AL HAD
Breakfast the hotel. Meet your guide in the lobby at 0800 hrs and embark your 4wd vehicle to drive to Sur. This tour along the coast line to Sur offers breath taking glimpses of the blue waters of the Gulf of Oman offset pristine beaches. Arrive at Quriyat, a very large fishing village between the lagoon and the sea. The port of Quriyat is still guarded by a watchtower. Continue driving through the coastal road overlooking superb white beaches hundreds of meters long. Arrive at Fins beach (White beach) and stop for a short swim. Continue to Wadi Shab. Shab in Arabic, literally means Ravine between Cliffs. Shallow green pools and abundant shade, gives Wadi Shab a perfect setting for picnic. Here cold picnic lunch packets can be served (optional cost). Later you may take a long walk inside the Wadi. Return to your vehicles and proceed to Sur and then to Ras al Hadd.
Arrive at Ras al had and Check in at Turtle Beach Resort. Time at Leisure.
Later in the evening at around 2000 Hrs, drive to Ras Al Jinz to see turtle coming ashore to lay eggs (Please Note: It cannot be guaranteed that you see turtles in every visit, however in general probability is high). After the tour, back to your hotel for overnight.
Overnight stay at Turtle beach resort or similar.

Day 2

RAS AL HAD - SUR – WADI BANI KHALID – WAHIBA – NIZWA
After breakfast at 0830 hrs you will be met by your tour guide/driver will meet you and proceed to the great desert of Oman and further to Nizwa. You will drive through small villages and towns before arriving at Wadi Bani Khalid. This drive through the mountain offers a panoramic view of the beautiful landscape below. You will pass many pretty villages embedded in the mountains. Here the road winds down to the Wadi alongside a large, shallow pool fringed with vegetation & ends at a village. We park our vehicles at this point and continue on a short trek to the deep blue pools of the Wadi. If you wish you may enjoy a swim in this glorious grace of nature. It is recommended to wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes for this trip. You can also enjoy some juices and fast food at the coffee shop situated by the poolside (at own expenses)
After lunch, come back to your Vehicle and continue driving to the great desert of Oman Known as the Wahiba Sands. Very soon you will come face to face with the enormous desert and our experienced driver will drive you through the sand dunes to give you a thrill of soft dune driving.
After having enjoyed the drives over the lovely dunes you could perhaps meet the Bedouin family to know more about their life style in the desert. Thereafter you will bid goodbye to the inhabitants and continue driving to reach Nizwa by approx 1730 hrs. Check In at the Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the Hotel facilities.
Overnight stay at either at Hotel Falaj Daris or similar.

Day 3

NIZWA / BAHLA / JABRIN / MUSCAT
After breakfast at 08:00 hrs, proceed on a tour of the Oasis city of Nizwa, which was once the capital of Julanda Dynasty in the 6 th and 7 th Century AD. Today it remains as the most popular tourist attractions with its historical buildingsand imposing fort. Visit the Nizwa fort with its enormous round tower built in the 17 th century built by Imam Sultan Bin Saif Al Ya aruba to defend the route to the interior. The fort dominates the entire area, with the town having grown around the edifice. Access to the top is possible only by means of a narrow, twisting staircase barred by heavy wooden doors, studded with metal. From the top of the tower one can get a bird&s eye view of the Nizwa city.
From here you will proceed to the Nizwa Souq which is renowned for its intricately hand-carved Khanjar and ornately designed silver Jewelry. Here on a Friday a unique goat and cattle auction is held. The atmosphere here is electric. After visiting the fort and sour, proceed to Jabreen to visit the famous Jabreen Castle. En Route stop in Bahla for to see Old Bahla Fort (photo stop from outside only since fort is currently closed for renovation). Arrive at Jabreen to visit the castle, the finest of Omans castles built in the late 17 th Century, which became a seat of Omani learning. This castle has extremely well planned layouts with rooms for the wali, the ladies room, the kitchen, the Majlis etc. Most of the ceilings are decorated with beautiful paintings with Islamic motifs. The view from the top of the castle is really mesmerizing. After visiting the Forts you will proceed for a tour of Misfah, a village in the mountain seemingly hewn out of rock. The houses cling to the rocks, this looks precarious but it has been here for centuries. You will park your car at the entrance of the village and then walk into the village. A short walk through the village will bring you out looking down at the Falaj and water pools which is still used for washing. Continue driving to Muscat.
